28th week

I had my 28 week check up yesterday. I passed the glucose test with flying colors, meaning I don't have gestational diabetes :)  However I am anemic So I will be starting on Iron pills to help that out.  Babies heart Rate was 142 and everything else measured out great! I am feeling VERY tired and exhausted all the time now a days, (which I'm sure is part of the anemia problem. Hopefully the pills will help with that).  My legs and feet are starting to swell more and more. I have been using compression stockings for quite some time and will continue to use them as I assume they are still helping.  She is as always, very very active!! I have to start the kick counts but I have no problem getting in 10 counts in an hour, I'm upward of 100 kicks in an hour at different times of the day. It appears she has a little to much room to roam around, but at 17 inches long and 2 1/2 pounds, she will start putting on some weight so her room is about to slowly get less and less.  Just like her mommy, she already loves her food :)  As soon as I eat she is one happy girl bouncing all over the place, but when she is hungry, mama knows too... I have a feeling we are going to have a feisty little one.  Still counting down the weeks till we get to meet her!! 

3rd trimester

I am at the beginning of my last trimester!! Wooohoooo! Feeling good other then really sleepy most days!! We are at the beach for the weekend, so this is baby girl and I at Newport beach! 13 weeks to go!!

26 weeks

25 weeks

I had my dr appt yesterday and everything looks really good. Me a s the baby are growing normally. I have gained 11 pounds which the dr said was right on track. I'm still feeling pretty good with no problems at all. She is kicking and moving like crazy still. I saw my regular dr this time and she looked at the ultrasound and said that was a very good pictured and a perfect picture shot, and was a distinct girl photo. So grandma Payne came over and painted her room and got a cute border up and all. We are slowly getting the baby's room put together!

24 weeks

Well I feel like I haven't grown much in the past couple weeks so I haven't put up any pictures lately. Not
Much new to report other then I have a very active child!! She has figured out her days and nights and starting this week she has been awake and kicking me all day and finally sleeps in the evening. She has mastered finding my bladder, and pretty sure that's the only thing she likes to kick; so I'm in the bathroom lots these days! I love feeling her kick and move around, hopefully this means a growing spurt for our little girl!!

21 weeks and a few days..

Well I'm slightly over 21 weeks now, but since they said it was within 3 days they aren't changing the due date, and since thursday is my usual posting day I'll just keep it at that. I'm still feeling good.. Wearing mostly maternity shirts at this point cause they are the most comfortable and non restricting. I'm still wearing my normal pants/jeans just without buttoning them and using a belt to help keep the front closed and my pants from falling, and so far that seems to be the best. Maturity pants Aren't that comfortable yet and the belly bands they have to help keep your pants up work great if you don't have to bend over or move a ton... But with my job it was much more of a pain and I was spending more time readjusting then anything! Baby girl has been less then active for the past week but decided to wake up a bit more starting yesterday and I'm sure she was just getting her sleep for her growing spurt she is having... Yep the skin is back to stretching all day again, hip to hip pelvic to breast :) although slightly annoying I'm not complaining cause we both want a big healthy baby! Keep on growing girl!

It's a........

Well yesterday was my 20 week ultrasound, and just as I had figured, they measured me at 21 weeks. Because it was within 3 days, they are not going to change the due date yet, but all in all they have moved it a total of 7 days back. It's possible we could have our baby on my birthday! Only time and mother nature will tell! They were able to see babies heart beat, bladder, kidneys, brain, all the little bones and fingers, spine and feet and they said everything looks really good and in working order! So we are very happy and pleased that we will have a very healthy baby Girl :) to add to our family at the end of the year!! She was weighing in at a whole 15 oz yesterday with a heart beat of 134. Haillee was so excited to find out she was having a little sister. We were hopping for a boy but are very happy about having a girl, a little piece of your heart is a bit disappointed, but a huge piece lights up as well! We were able to get some 3D pictures yesterday and even in one of the pictures she was giving me a thumbs up! All is within normal range and mama so far has gained 8 pounds! Couldn't ask for much better news at this point!! We are all very happy!! Can't wait to meet her!

Half way!

Well today I start the 20th week! I'm officially half way done! I am finally feeling really good I got some support stockings for work and I can't believe the difference it makes in my legs! I get home at night and still feel good enough to take the dogs for a walk, make dinner and all the other chores!! They may look silly but I'm a fan! The baby movement comes and goes but could finally feel it kick my hand last night, instead of always feeling it from the inside! Big news to come next week!!!

19th week

I'm a tad late with this posting, but this was the start of my 19th week. We had a big party for Hector and Haillee over the weekend so that explains the big smiley face bouncy house in the back ground! :)  

Still not much change, feeling really good and getting excited for the 20 week mark!!

Baby movement

Well, starting over the weekend I can finally feel Taco moving! Hector is able to feel him as well, but I am having trouble feeling him on the outside... but I diffidently feel him on the inside! Almost every night we lay in bed and he kicks and kicks... and during the day if I am still for long periods of time I can feel it best! I don't feel it when I'm up moving around (which is most of the day).  I love feeling him move around..for now, and if the DR is right and says I have an active kid... I could be feeling it A LOT in the months to come!

PS- I say "him" cause I don't like saying "it".. We still don't know the sex yet!  And we are still hopping for a boy :) 

another big week down..18 weeks!

This has been a crazy week for all of us! Over the weekend I was feeling very tired and sore and didn't want to do much, I figured I was coming down with some sort of a bug.  But when I woke up Tuesday Morning, I felt great.. and Taco grew!!! I officially pass as a pregnant person!! Everyday this week I have had constant pulling and tugging from my pelvic bone up to my breast, and from hip to hip! My skin is starting to hurt from the stretching... and I'm just begging week 18! everyday Taco is growing and making more room! (praying I don't give birth to a toddler at this point..) lol.

I feel like I am growing a little faster then the average person.. but what do I know.. its my first one!! 4 people have now told me it looks like I'm having a Boy!! Any guesses?? Speculations??

In other HUGE news! We have officially signed Taco up for the most amazing Daycare/Preschool!!!  I have never felt so confident in a decision we have made, and I have been fretting over finding the "perfect" daycare for Taco, and for us! I dream about it, talk about it, think about it all the time. So when I talked to this lady for the first time, I instantly loved her! After lots of thinking and talking with Hector, parents, friends (other parents that took there kids there),  I went and met her.  I was there for almost an hour and a half! SHE IS AMAZING!! I could spend 3 days writing down all the wonderful perfect things about her.. but its not needed.  I feel very confident in our decision to choose her and this place, and have ZERO worries at all about leaving our little taco there!! WHAT A HUGE RELIEF!! I have  been so happy about it this week I have even had trouble sleeping...(again!)   

That is about all for the week- I have stopped paddling due to being very tired and uncomfortable almost all the time. I have now started just walking, which is more then enough for me.  AS your can tell by the picture, my work shirts are getting a little short in the front.I'm going between maternity clothes and regular clothes at this point.. but not sure how much longer that will last!

Week 17

Well I just finished my 16th week an had a Dr. Appt yesterday. The babies heart rate was 146 (normal range) and the Dr said I was going to have a very active child..:/. She would find the heart beat, loose it, find it, loose it.... So on.. She said it was moving all over the place (just like it was in the first ultrasound). Speaking of ultrasound.... Another 4 weeks and we will finally find out if it's a boy or a girl!! Other then getting headaches, not having any issues and feeling pretty good (on days that I sleep good). The sleeping at night is gradually getting better, although my Dr said I can take Tylenol PM, so on the weekend on occasion if it's been a rough week I do take one to get some sleep! Still not feeling Taco move yet, although I keep waiting! I'm very excited to feel it moving! Here is my belly at the beginning of 17 weeks. So far (although still pretty early on.. Taco seems to be all out front!).

16th week

I'm just starting my 16th week and at the frustrating stage of being to small for maternity clothes, and to big for my normal clothes. Still having a very hard time sleeping, 4 nights in a row now I have slept less then 6 hours (which isn't good for me, or anyone around me :) ) I will talk to my DR next week to see if there is anything I can do, for now I plan my weekend with almost nothing to do so I can catch up on rest.

Patio Cover

We have been waiting for the weather to get nice enough, and after a couple weekends, we have completed our patio cover! still needs a little staining and painting, but we have been enjoying it so much already! Can't wait for the wind to stop long enough so we can enjoy it even more!!

15 weeks

15 weeks now and finally looks like there is a baby in there!

Brestfeeding

Well one of the things I have noticed within the past couple weeks of telling people I'm pregnant, the first thing that comes out of there mouths is "oh are you going to breastfeed?". I was raised thinking that was a personal question and a personal decision. I would expect that type of a question for family and close friends.... but everyone who has asked me has been a "stranger" in my terms..(usually a patient at work). I'm a little shocked that someone who doesn't know me, seems to be perfectly fine with asking me.   As a side note- I do plan to use breast milk, but since I will be returning back to work within 2 months, I will have to get the baby used to taking a bottle, therefore will bottle feed and breast feed, with the hope there is no nipple confusion.   Every baby is different and what works with one may not work with another- so along with being a personal decision, it will also be based on how mom and baby both react to it and that could be something different then I was considering in the first place :)      I guess any question is fair games this day. :)

First baby gift.

Today we received our first baby gift. Although its cute, I hate that people are still contributing to my husbands horrible habits! :) just kidding! We are super excited to start getting all the stuff we need for Taco!

14 weeks

Today is the start of 14 weeks. Although still tired, feeling pretty darn good!

.....AND BABY MAKES 4!!

As most of you know by now, Hector and I will be expecting our new little addition to our family in November.. here is our first picture of "Taco". 

 

I will catch everyone up to speed on where I am at :)  First of all, if your just finding out, don't worry, we just told people last week :)  We  decided to not tell anyone till we heard the heart beat, which was at 11 weeks, then found out we had to have an ultrasound to find out exactly how far along I was.. (which was 4 days more then they thought) I was and still am pretty sure i am still a week more then they are saying, but only time will tell :)

Weeks 5-7-  I was 80% Nauseated and 20% Hungry. That was it.. nothing in between! Thankfully It only lasted about 7 weeks then with no puking at all, and since then have been great! Mexican food is the #1 thing that has always made me feel GREAT and still continues to be that way- (hint: the name "Taco")

Week 11- first DR appt with a lot of education on what i shouldn't be doing in my first trimester (although i was 3 weeks away from my second... i know helpful huh!) And we got to hear the heart beat!

We also told our parents at this point.  Grandma Ramirez was so happy and screamed so much, she may have needed to get new panties :)  We all cried and were very happy.  Grandma Payne was so excited she jumped, and jumped and jumped and jumped! :)   They were both a little upset we didn't tell them as soon as we found out, but we sure enjoyed our little secrete (and came up with the name Taco)

Week 12- our first ultrasound- Taco was jumping and rebounding off my uterus so much, that at one point the tech decided she wasn't getting any measurements so we all laughed and enjoyed it bouncing around! it was flailing its arms all over and kicking his feet into me.. im surprised I couldn't feel it- however it was just a couple inches at that point.    This is me at 12 weeks-  Just a little bump

Week 13- AKA THE SECOND TRIMESTER!!- feeling good but still waiting for that energy boost that everyone says comes during the second trimester! Probably doesn't help that I am trying to paddle twice a week still, and still not sleeping well! I have had trouble getting good sleep since week 4 (before I even knew I was pregnant). Other then that, no nausea, no food craving, feeling pretty good!  Here is my week 13 photo-

Although at some points it looks like I'm pregnant, other times I still look like im in the "fat" stage!   Well now that everyone is caught up, I will try to keep a more regular blog with pictures and updates/ultrasounds and so forth.. so please check back if you wish to follow us through our journey!

Mosaic #2

Its been a while, but i have finally finished my second Mosaic :) I made one for my mom for Mothers Day. As most of you know, she just finished all of her treatments for Breast Cancer, so I really wanted to make her something Special.  It's another Lazy Susan...
