another big week down..18 weeks!

This has been a crazy week for all of us! Over the weekend I was feeling very tired and sore and didn't want to do much, I figured I was coming down with some sort of a bug.  But when I woke up Tuesday Morning, I felt great.. and Taco grew!!! I officially pass as a pregnant person!! Everyday this week I have had constant pulling and tugging from my pelvic bone up to my breast, and from hip to hip! My skin is starting to hurt from the stretching... and I'm just begging week 18! everyday Taco is growing and making more room! (praying I don't give birth to a toddler at this point..) lol.

I feel like I am growing a little faster then the average person.. but what do I know.. its my first one!! 4 people have now told me it looks like I'm having a Boy!! Any guesses?? Speculations??

In other HUGE news! We have officially signed Taco up for the most amazing Daycare/Preschool!!!  I have never felt so confident in a decision we have made, and I have been fretting over finding the "perfect" daycare for Taco, and for us! I dream about it, talk about it, think about it all the time. So when I talked to this lady for the first time, I instantly loved her! After lots of thinking and talking with Hector, parents, friends (other parents that took there kids there),  I went and met her.  I was there for almost an hour and a half! SHE IS AMAZING!! I could spend 3 days writing down all the wonderful perfect things about her.. but its not needed.  I feel very confident in our decision to choose her and this place, and have ZERO worries at all about leaving our little taco there!! WHAT A HUGE RELIEF!! I have  been so happy about it this week I have even had trouble sleeping...(again!)   

That is about all for the week- I have stopped paddling due to being very tired and uncomfortable almost all the time. I have now started just walking, which is more then enough for me.  AS your can tell by the picture, my work shirts are getting a little short in the front.I'm going between maternity clothes and regular clothes at this point.. but not sure how much longer that will last!

Week 17

Well I just finished my 16th week an had a Dr. Appt yesterday. The babies heart rate was 146 (normal range) and the Dr said I was going to have a very active child..:/. She would find the heart beat, loose it, find it, loose it.... So on.. She said it was moving all over the place (just like it was in the first ultrasound). Speaking of ultrasound.... Another 4 weeks and we will finally find out if it's a boy or a girl!! Other then getting headaches, not having any issues and feeling pretty good (on days that I sleep good). The sleeping at night is gradually getting better, although my Dr said I can take Tylenol PM, so on the weekend on occasion if it's been a rough week I do take one to get some sleep! Still not feeling Taco move yet, although I keep waiting! I'm very excited to feel it moving! Here is my belly at the beginning of 17 weeks. So far (although still pretty early on.. Taco seems to be all out front!).

16th week

I'm just starting my 16th week and at the frustrating stage of being to small for maternity clothes, and to big for my normal clothes. Still having a very hard time sleeping, 4 nights in a row now I have slept less then 6 hours (which isn't good for me, or anyone around me :) ) I will talk to my DR next week to see if there is anything I can do, for now I plan my weekend with almost nothing to do so I can catch up on rest.

Patio Cover

We have been waiting for the weather to get nice enough, and after a couple weekends, we have completed our patio cover! still needs a little staining and painting, but we have been enjoying it so much already! Can't wait for the wind to stop long enough so we can enjoy it even more!!

15 weeks

15 weeks now and finally looks like there is a baby in there!

Brestfeeding

Well one of the things I have noticed within the past couple weeks of telling people I'm pregnant, the first thing that comes out of there mouths is "oh are you going to breastfeed?". I was raised thinking that was a personal question and a personal decision. I would expect that type of a question for family and close friends.... but everyone who has asked me has been a "stranger" in my terms..(usually a patient at work). I'm a little shocked that someone who doesn't know me, seems to be perfectly fine with asking me.   As a side note- I do plan to use breast milk, but since I will be returning back to work within 2 months, I will have to get the baby used to taking a bottle, therefore will bottle feed and breast feed, with the hope there is no nipple confusion.   Every baby is different and what works with one may not work with another- so along with being a personal decision, it will also be based on how mom and baby both react to it and that could be something different then I was considering in the first place :)      I guess any question is fair games this day. :)

First baby gift.

Today we received our first baby gift. Although its cute, I hate that people are still contributing to my husbands horrible habits! :) just kidding! We are super excited to start getting all the stuff we need for Taco!

14 weeks

Today is the start of 14 weeks. Although still tired, feeling pretty darn good!

.....AND BABY MAKES 4!!

As most of you know by now, Hector and I will be expecting our new little addition to our family in November.. here is our first picture of "Taco". 

 

I will catch everyone up to speed on where I am at :)  First of all, if your just finding out, don't worry, we just told people last week :)  We  decided to not tell anyone till we heard the heart beat, which was at 11 weeks, then found out we had to have an ultrasound to find out exactly how far along I was.. (which was 4 days more then they thought) I was and still am pretty sure i am still a week more then they are saying, but only time will tell :)

Weeks 5-7-  I was 80% Nauseated and 20% Hungry. That was it.. nothing in between! Thankfully It only lasted about 7 weeks then with no puking at all, and since then have been great! Mexican food is the #1 thing that has always made me feel GREAT and still continues to be that way- (hint: the name "Taco")

Week 11- first DR appt with a lot of education on what i shouldn't be doing in my first trimester (although i was 3 weeks away from my second... i know helpful huh!) And we got to hear the heart beat!

We also told our parents at this point.  Grandma Ramirez was so happy and screamed so much, she may have needed to get new panties :)  We all cried and were very happy.  Grandma Payne was so excited she jumped, and jumped and jumped and jumped! :)   They were both a little upset we didn't tell them as soon as we found out, but we sure enjoyed our little secrete (and came up with the name Taco)

Week 12- our first ultrasound- Taco was jumping and rebounding off my uterus so much, that at one point the tech decided she wasn't getting any measurements so we all laughed and enjoyed it bouncing around! it was flailing its arms all over and kicking his feet into me.. im surprised I couldn't feel it- however it was just a couple inches at that point.    This is me at 12 weeks-  Just a little bump

Week 13- AKA THE SECOND TRIMESTER!!- feeling good but still waiting for that energy boost that everyone says comes during the second trimester! Probably doesn't help that I am trying to paddle twice a week still, and still not sleeping well! I have had trouble getting good sleep since week 4 (before I even knew I was pregnant). Other then that, no nausea, no food craving, feeling pretty good!  Here is my week 13 photo-

Although at some points it looks like I'm pregnant, other times I still look like im in the "fat" stage!   Well now that everyone is caught up, I will try to keep a more regular blog with pictures and updates/ultrasounds and so forth.. so please check back if you wish to follow us through our journey!

Mosaic #2

Its been a while, but i have finally finished my second Mosaic :) I made one for my mom for Mothers Day. As most of you know, she just finished all of her treatments for Breast Cancer, so I really wanted to make her something Special.  It's another Lazy Susan...

This is the finished Lazy Susan mosaic I made While in McCall.  I have never done grout work before so this was my first go at it. Turned out pretty cool I think! Really makes the Cat stand out.

New found love

While in McCall this week, the very last day we were supposed to go riding, and it was snowing so hard that we decided to stay in.  My Mother-in-law and I had stumbled upon a store that had incredible art work inside.. We started talking to them and found we were able to pay by the hour/day and do all the crafts we wanted... so we learned how to do Mosaic! WE LOVED IT!!!  I had no idea how fun it could be, and the possibilities are endless... we were gone all day...I can't say the husbands were very happy about it...and they defiantly aren't happy now that we have picked it up as a project... but we are having so much fun with it!   This is my very first Mosaic art piece I made.  Its a Lazy Susan and its the cat from the Artic Cat Brand (our snowmobile brand).

                                  My Cat Lazy Susan...   Now its not grouted yet... still have to finish it, but this is the first stage completed!    I will continue to post more pictures as I complete projects... and yes i have already started my second project... :)   you can't tell in the photo, but in his mouth is a mirror... as well as around the boarder its alternating black and mirror..   Pretty fun! The husband is ok with the first couple projects, because they are for him :)  

McCall ID 2/2012

Hector, my In-law's and I just got got back from a week of snowmobiling and playing in McCall ID! We had a wonderful time.  We rented a pretty nice house/cabin for the week, and had some friends join us for a few days of the trip.  We were able to snowmobile a couple days, but with being tired and lots and lots of snowfall the last 2 1/2 days, we didn't get to ride as much as we wanted! one day out was decent snow, and the next day out, at times we were going on a dirt road.  Yes its called snowmobiling for a reason, you need SNOW... so our sleds overheated and we had to let them cool off before we could get to better snow..  We were able to do some shopping, some drinking, and lots of relaxing!  





   You can barley see, but Hector is on top of the hill and you can see is tracks going up (to the left of the big tree that is leaning over..)

Jaeger

Hector and I take Jaeger out running a lot as we are in the RZR... And he loves it! This is a Video from last summer when he was 10 months old.  I always tell people he can run FAST! At the age of one, he can  now run about 30-35 MPH. In this video 8 months go, we clocked him going about 23 MPH! This dog can RUN!! I don't think people always believe me when I tell them how fast he can run... but he has muscles in all the right spots, and not an ounce of fat on him! He is so fun to watch!!   Enjoy!

The Pregnancy Project...

I just finished reading this book.. It was written by a senior in High School who was doing her Senior Project.  She lives in a town not to far from Richland.  I very much enjoyed her book, shows you how you should never judge anyone! You have no idea what they are really going through! its a very quick and easy read, but an EXCELLENT one! You won't be disappointed by the end message! I recommend to every age... including those is middle and high school!!! If you do read, please let me know what you though of it, and how it impacted your thoughts and feeling... and what you think will do differently in your thinking and life......

our newer toy

Well, with all the other amazing life changes we have made... we added a 4th vehicle to the family.  We are both wanting a truck, and Hector has always wanted one like he used to have... so this week we made the purchases of a 1994 Toyota.  Its a great truck in EXCELLENT condition! its a standard, so it was fun to take it out and drive... its been a while since i have drove a stick shift.    This will come in handy this summer for taking the dogs to the river, four wheeling in the mountains, putting the RZR in the back and will also be Hector's daily commuting car!  So far we both love it, and Hector is working on adding a few things..such as a step so he doesn't have to lift me up into every time! (i know it doesn't look that high...but its much higher then it looks!)     

Welcome to the Ramirez family... won't stay clean for long...   lol...

Lucy

Our beloved Lucy, the bunny, of 3 weeks has died.  She wasn't acting right one evening and i told Hector she wasn't going to make it.  We left for a few hours to go have dinner and when we returned, she was not alive.  After spending the money on her on vet care, food and all the accessories, I was really hopping to find her a good home since we knew a bunny was not a pet that could fit into our family right now.  I guess my problem has been solved.  Although i feel she may have been a little neglected since i didn't take her back to the vet a follow up time, she may have been untreated for a bladder infection, which may have killed her.  I just have to tell myself, someone else Neglected her by putting her on the streets, and we did what we could to nurse her back to health.   We now know, a rabbit is not an animal we will ever get again.

Our Home

Hector and I were able to sell our home last year and build a new home! We love it!! Here are a few pictures of the outside.  I haven't taken any of the inside yet but plan to someday. 

 We tried to have as little of grass as possible, by adding curbing and rock around the edges! still plenty of room the dogs to run!

 our first Christmas as a Married couple, and in the house! We were able to get some new lights and decoration this year, and hope to add to it every year!

 Since being in our new house, we have adopted a little bunny, Lucy.  She was set free and we were able to catch her. she was very little when we rescued her at 2.5 pounds.  I haven't checked her weight in a while but she sure eats and drinks like a champ, in a little over a week i would guess she has put on at least a pound more.  Our dogs want to eat her as a snack, and she is a very messy animal! I don't know that we will be able to keep her much longer, but after she is all healed ( an infection we are putting medicine on) we hope to find her a new home that will take good care of her!

Mamma

 Along with getting married, I have my own little family that i LOVE so much! i became a step-mom to the most amazing 7 year old Haillee!  We have so much fun as a family! We have 2 dogs, Jynx 8, and Jaeger 1! we have recently adopted a bunny we named Lucy and have a fish tank full of exciting sharks, snails, frogs, and assortment of fish! Our house is never dull!  :)

WE DID IT!!

Although I had often wondered when the time would ever come for me to get married... it finally did!!        9/10/11       I married the most amazing man!

in the few short months we have been married, we have already had lots of fun time and excitement! We can't wait to share the rest of our lives together and all the amazing blessings it brings!
